Tired Thomas

Thomas Sowell's column lead by calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme. Don't know what it said after that because I stopped reading. Sowell is smarter than that. I rarely agree with him, but he can be smart and informative. Today he's lobbing the low-hanging fruit at those predisposed to his opinions and I'll have none of it.

JFK on the Seperation of Church and State

I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute -- where no Catholic prelate would tell the president (should he be Catholic) how to act, and no Protestant minister would tell his parishioners for whom to vote -- where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference -- and where no man is denied public office merely because his religion differs from the president who might appoint him or the people who might elect him.
-- John F. Kennedy

How could I agree with Ron Paul?

I've become aware of something disturbing: There are two key areas where I agree with Ron Paul.

1. The Federal Govt. should be audited. This is a keystone of Ron Paul's message and I couldn't agree more. I'd vote for just about anyone who convincingly promised to audit the Dept. of the Interior.
